About this Blog
The idea for this blog came from one too many trips down the rabbit hole of “Isn’t there a technology that will just do [X] for me?”
Since I am doomed to comb the internet for solutions to my technological research questions, I created a space where other academics can easily find the answers to similar questions. I hope you will find useful tips and tricks for using software to managing your research, comparisons of tools to make research easier, and my musings on all the tech toys that I hope will make the research process smoother.
I am a PhD student at the University of Ottawa in Canada. I’m an Epidemiologist and I spend my PhD time researching policies to combat antimicrobial resistance. I love trying new tech tools for research management, statistics, and teaching!
In addition to playing with technology and wishing for new tech toys to solve all my research problems, I have been an editor with the University of Ottawa Journal of Medicine, Science & Technology editor at The Argosy, and Science & Technology Bureau Chief for the Canadian University Press.
